We’ll discuss the working group proposal process (which will take place in February) as well as opportunities to be more involved in the leadership/ organization of the programming.
As SoA transitions out of Pioneer Works, we would like to bring more people into the conversation about how to define the culture of this school, as well as to share some of the administration of the programming itself.
We’d like to propose a “School Admin Working Group” which would essentially work together to define agendas for the monthly meetings, refine and develop the school model, and evolve the conversation about its culture. So, to make sure everyone is on the same page about this we will have a nice state-of-the school discussion.
Some things we’ll consider:
-Feedback from working group leaders on how to lead those formats.
-Can working groups continue if they love working together?
-Is there an SoA pedagogy? If so, what does it look like?
-Should we have a studio critique working group?
-What are the goals and responsibilities of the SoA leadership group?
-What is the role of founding faculty moving forward?
-The new SoA website--what should go on it?
-SoA and political activism, or the role of schools generally and political activism?
We are meeting in a new location!
